Compagnie La Torréfaction

La Compagnie La Torréfaction was founded in August 2024 to promote electro, krump, and contemporary dance in the performing arts, and to share the company's vocabulary and repertoire with a broad audience. The artistic director and choreographer is Asia Torreggiani, a young electro and krump dancer with contemporary training, who channels her personal, experience-rich artistic universe into her creations. Based in the 93rd district of France, the company has national and international aspirations, driven by the global nature of the dance styles and the Italian origins of its choreographer. The name is inspired by a movement created by the founder and the idea of transforming raw material (the basics of the respective dances) into something  refined, like coffee beans into powder.
